WEIGHT OF AN AMERICAN SOLDIER'S PACKAGE (WWII)
An American soldier carrying on average during the landings:
- 20 to 30 kg (~44 to 66 lbs) of equipment
- In some situations: up to 40 kg (~88 lbs)
Typical composition :
- Weapon (M1 Garand rifle): ~4.3 kg (~8.6 lbs)
- Ammunition
- Backpack (clothing, rations, equipment)
- Helmet: ~1.5 kg (~3 lbs)
- Canteen, tools, miscellaneous equipment
Note: during disembarkation, the combined weight of the water, stress and terrain significantly increased the difficulty.

CONTEXT :

Your mission is simple, but vital: advance quickly while carrying your full equipment.
INSTRUCTION :
- Put on the military kit
- Walk 10 meters
- Turn around and return to the starting point
